I am a media, campaigns, policy and public affairs professional with a background in political journalism.
Until recently I worked in the media team for The Children's Society, which campaigns against child poverty and teenage neglect. Before that I led on policy, campaigns and media for Family Action, which supports disadvantaged families. And prior to that I worked on policy for the National Housing Federation, which represents social housing providers.
In my previous career I was a journalist, working on regional papers, BBC News Online, and for the Press Association's regional media team in the Parliamentary lobby.
